Skin Firming Sugar Scrub

Who doesn't like a great cup of coffee in the morning? Ahh! Don't you love the smell of freshly ground coffee, sugar, and... wait... your body wash?

You're not in a cafe, you're in your shower... and by the way, you look fabulous

This skin firming body scrub uses the caffeine from freshly ground coffee to tighten your skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite while white and brown sugar makes your skin soft and smooth.

Mix the following ingredients together to make a Starbucks-esque retreat in your own shower:

  • 2 cups of coffee (the fresher, the better)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Mix all ingredients together - apply to wet skin and rinse with cool water. I would recommend applying scrub and allowing it to sit while you wash your hair. For an extra delicious smell, apply a little vanilla lotion and/or body spray after drying off.

After one use, you will be able to see a difference in the firmness of your skin. Plus, the smells will perk you up on an early Monday morning ... Enjoy!!

Introduction

I wanted to start this because I LOVE creating beauty products out of nothing. I started when I was little, trying to make blush out of flour and red food dye (by the way, this does NOT work) I've experimented with all sorts of different kitchen ingredients for different uses, and I really feel like they work just as well as the professional products; and for pennies on the dollar!! Most of these products you have in your kitchen. Sugar, salt, coffee, oil, eggs, fruit, veggies, etc... sounds delicious!!

Throughout this blog, I also want to try creating things I haven't tried before. I've done plenty of face masks, exfoliates, and hair treatments, but I'd really like to make some soaps and lotions.

I hope you enjoy this blog and learn some fabulously easy, inexpensive, and effective beauty tips. Thanks! :)
